Overview#
The NETC Switch demo application demonstrates how to set up NETC switch feature. In this demo, NETC acts as network switch.
Supported Boards#

Hardware requirements
Mini/micro USB cable
MIMXRT1180-EVK board
Personal Computer
Board settings
Populate R469 and set reset pin as open-drain to complete the PHY hardware reset properly.
Prepare the Demo
Connect a USB cable between the host PC and the OpenSDA USB port on the target board.
Open a serial terminal with the following settings:
115200 baud rate
8 data bits
No parity
One stop bit
No flow control
Download the program to the target board.
Either press the reset button on your board or launch the debugger in your IDE to begin running the demo.
Running the demo
When the demo runs successfully, the log would be seen on the OpenSDA terminal like:
NETC Switch example start.
Wait for PHY link up...
MAC learning.
The frame received from port 0. Dest Address 54:27:8d:00:00:f0 Src Address 54:27:8d:00:00:00. Port 0 bounds to MAC 54:27:8d:00:00:00.

J18(1-2)/J17(2-3): ETH2 Function Via J56B. J12(1-2)/J13(2-3): ETH0 Function Via J56A.
Prepare the Demo

No special settings are required.
Prepare the Demo
Connect 12V~20V power supply to the board.
Connect a micro USB cable between the host PC and the J15(FTDI_DEBUG) USB port on the target board.
Open a serial terminal with the following settings:
115200 baud rate
8 data bits
No parity
One stop bit
No flow control
Program flash.bin of this demo to SD/eMMC.
Switch SW1 to power on the board.
Note: To use 2.5G SGMII of switch port0 and port1 and on-board PHY instead of 100M MII, add below definition in app.h.
